Role

The Strategic Alliances Field Partner Development Manager (PDM) will work as part of the AMER Partner team to build and support a plan to accelerate and scale the growth of our Splunk Cloud business with a managed CSP (Cloud Solution Provider).

You will lead with passion the day to day interactions with the CSP and their eco-system and you will be responsible for driving business development, sales and marketing initiatives, engaging with the field sales organization, channel, and joint customers to drive new revenue opportunities for Splunk Cloud.

Responsibilities:

Localize Global GTM plan for the AMER region to drive initiatives and programs with a Managed CSP resulting in additional revenue & hyper growth for Splunk. You will drive enablement and evangelism of our joint solutions and value proposition with field sellers for both Splunk and the partner organization. In addition:

  • Lead a co-sell pipeline of joint opportunities and assist sales on removing blockers
  • Implement account mapping with targeted districts and territories to uncover new opportunities
  • Launch new programs into the region and ensure it is well adopted and performed
  • Own tracking and reporting in the deal registration tool(s)
  • Identify specific customer segments and industry verticals to approach with a joint value proposition for using Splunk
  • Ensure that Splunk is the preferred infrastructure, operations, and security intelligence solution for the Managed CSP’s customers and partners
  • Prepare and give business reviews to senior management teams
  • Develop and complete local enablement plans to meet sales and delivery needs

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of business development and/or strategic account sales experience within the enterprise software and cloud space (GCP, AWS, Azure) Experience with GCP preferred
  • 3+ recent years leading strategic relationships with a Cloud Solutions Provider. Experience leading large technology opportunities via a Cloud Marketplace a plus
  • 7+ years’ experience with direct sales (hunter/carried and exceeded quota) to large enterprises. Cloud and/or SaaS experience preferred
  • Successful track record of leading sophisticated, strategic revenue generating partnerships
  • Very comfortable in the “C” suite with experience negotiating six and seven figure software licensing and cloud/SaaS transactions
  • Referenceable relationships with relevant technology companies
  • Experience defining, implementing and leading GTM activities
  • Technical understanding of various IT architectures, data center operations and cloud services
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional teams
  • Excellent pipeline management and SFDC skills
  • Ability to travel domestically
  • Remote in USA (preferred East/Central part of USA)
