Job Description
The Salesforce Admin is responsible for the overall administration of the institution’s Salesforce instance. This includes, but is not limited to, system configuration and automation, identity and access management, ongoing testing and maintenance, new feature implementation, and release management. This role collaborates with functional leaders to identify, define, and implement changes and enhancements to meet business requirements in a dynamic, high-growth environment. As a member of the IT team, you will be responsible for supporting the Salesforce platform, including deployment, troubleshooting, optimization, and assisting end-users.

Required Experience / Education
Christian Commitment: Vital Christian faith and lifestyle
Supportive of the evangelical mission and purpose of Los Angeles Pacific University and the Azusa Pacific University System

Experience working in a technical role in an IT/IS environment
Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM 201, ADM 211)
2+ years of experience in Saleforce.com (SFDC) or Salesforce.org (SFDO)
1+ year experience utilizing SOQL or SQL in a production environment
Mastery of Salesforce intermediate topics including profiles, roles, permissions, custom objects, record types, formulas, reports, change sets, sandboxes, and dashboards

Desired Experience / Education
Demonstrated strong Salesforce process automation skills: Process Builder and Flow
3+ years of Salesforce administration experience in Service Cloud or Sales Cloud, Communities, Pardot, with Lightning Experience
Experience with Salesforce Advisor Link (Or other Education-Based Salesforce Apps)
Experience in Higher-Ed
Salesforce Development Experience
Experience with Large-scale, cross-functional projects
Experience working in a Scrum or Agile environment

Essential Functions

Responsible for the overall configuration, design, functionality and end-user support of the Salesforce.org platform.
Provide technical and functional support to users of Salesforce and related applications.
Configure and maintain custom objects, record types, fields, page layouts, formulas, data validation rules, Workflow rules, Process Builders, approval processes, installed packages, etc. within SFDC.
Maintain user roles and profiles, security settings, access settings, etc. (User Profiles, Role Hierarchy, Sharing Rules and Security).
Participate in projects as the technical lead that addresses process improvement, security, and eliminating technical debt.
Establish and implement change control and best practices with regards to system maintenance, configuration, development, testing, data integrity, etc.
Provide cross training within IT to cover responsibilities.
Work in a collaborative team environment and support additional products & technologies as needed.
Participate in regular Change Advisory Board meetings with student facing leadership
Engage with business stakeholders to gather & analyze requirements, and propose solutions that leverage Salesforce functionality. Translate approved solutions into actionable deliverables, ensuring high levels of quality, accuracy and process consistency.
Manage data imports, database de-duping and cleanup.
Support and improve SMS, chat features, and email distributions utilized by student facing departments.
Automate business processes utilizing native Salesforce tools.
Identify production risks and areas for improvement; prioritizes, designs and facilitates successful implementation and adoption of new processes.
Support cross-functional projects and strategic changes to systems and processes.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to drive high levels of data integrity and operational reliability of our standardized business analytics, tools and processes.
Develop training material as needed and provide one-on-one and group training to end users
Create documentation of existing systems and procedures.
Build reports and dashboards that help support business functions across the organization
Coordinate and support third party Salesforce apps.
Complete regular internal system audits and prepare systems and users for upgrades.
Required to work a Saturday commencement event each calendar year? Effectively act as the liaison between our users, vendors, and the application development teams.
