The Salesforce Architect is responsible for the design and development of the solutions we build on our Saleforce.com platform; both from a functional and technical perspective. The Architect will work closely with our CRM development and support teams, and technical and business leadership to architect solutions across the Salesforce platform and its integrations with enterprise systems, and drive net new development. While at the same time ensuring that our business-critical platform continues to meet the highest standards in terms of performance, security, and stability.

This role requires a deep understanding of Saleforce.com architecture, product offerings and solutions. Candidates must have a proven track record as Salesforce architect in large-scale Salesforce consolidation and development programs in complex technical environments. The candidate must demonstrate progressive leadership in the full life cycle of the software development environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the functional, technical design and implementation of Salesforce.com solutions; make trade-off decisions between declarative customization and custom development.
  • Provide expert knowledge and recommendations on Salesforce solutions across a broad range of development methodologies and tools to ensure the success and sustainability of custom applications.
  • Responsible for the functional and technical architecture of the Salesforce platform and Salesforce solutions with special attention to performance, scalability and maintainability; alignment with enterprise architecture.
  • Responsible for the definition of architectural standards, design patterns, integration strategy and patterns, implementation strategies (e.g. use declarative customization versus custom development);
  • Definition of security standards and processes (standards, audits, event monitoring).
  • Selection of SFDC Tooling (e.g. release management, version control etc) that are subject to audits and Global Information Security Compliance.

Requirements:

  • 6 + years experience to the Salesforce platform in a technical role with exposure to Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and the development of custom applications and integrations on the Force.com platform.
  • 4+ years experience in developing functional and technical specifications for business process refinement and automation, entity-relationship data modelling, system architecture, conducting feasibility studies, analyzing scope, and vision of the project.
  • Deep understanding of and hands-on experience with all aspects of declarative customization (e.g. Workflows & Approval Process, Visual Flow, tasks, events, Email Services, Security Controls, Objects, relationships, and junction objects such as Master-Child, lookups, Entity Relationship.
  • Deep understanding of and hands-on experience with all aspects of Salesforce custom development techniques on the Force.com platform (Apex, Triggers, Visualforce, Batch processes, SOQL, Governor Limits etc.).
  • Good understanding of the use of ETL Tools such as Informatica, Mulesoft, Apex Data Loader, Workbench etc.
  • Extensive experience with SOQL, SOSL, data manipulation, cleaning, and de – duplication.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude. Team player with strong organization skills.
