We are seeking a Senior Application Developer as a member of Markets technology team, delivering a global integrated technology stack, and meeting current and future needs of the P&L and Risk consolidation strategy

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work in an energetic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Lead and deliver on multiple project streams simultaneously.
  • Interaction with different business groups like Product Control, Finance, Market Risk, Front-office and Middle-office users.
  • Interface with Business users as necessary for defining requirements and streamlining design.
  • Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.
  • Provide production support by identify root cause and propose solutions.
  • Contribute to the design and development of end-to-end projects.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to coding standards.
  • Establish working relationships with various application teams and key team members and across the global technology organization as appropriate.
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems
  • Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
  • Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
  • Passionate about building an innovative culture
  • Demonstrated experience with Java and Python development
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to be hands on.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Capable of handling changes/uncertainty by quickly adapting to new processes.
  • Prior experience in Financial Services and Markets
  • Understanding of Risk/PnL in Fixed Income, Rates & Derivatives, FX markets is an advantage
  • Oracle or any other database experience
  • PL/SQL & SQL (Strong skills in writing complex SQL queries preferably in Oracle).
