Job description: Broadcom is looking for an individual to join our Data Center Solutions Group team and contribute to the development of our next-generation class of Storage Adapter products. As an ICB4 Staff Python Development Engineer you will have an active role in the design, development and execution of our programs for the RAID storage adapters
The successful candidate will play a central role in growing test automation for our key programs using Python. You will have the opportunity to participate in requirements analysis, test case and test tool development and test execution. You will be expected to work closely with software developers to ensure that quality is incorporated into all products.
-Experience : Bachelors and 8+ years of related experience; at this level post-graduate coursework may be desirable or
Masters degree and 6+ years of related experience or PhD and 3+ years of related experience
-Proven experience with test automation and test script development using Python
-Established competency with the Python scripting language as part of prior working experience
-direct experience in testing/development of embedded systems products
-Experience analyzing, testing and troubleshooting within Linux and Windows environments;
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Experience with the development and implementation of data center RAID software
-Understanding of software requirements verification techniques, test case design and development
-Experience with system and software problem analysis and reporting and the ability to support the investigation of problems and verify their resolution
-Experience with the software lifecycle and the collection and application of software development metrics to guide release over release improvements to the software testing process and product quality
-Knowledge of C programming or scripting languages other than Python
-Experience working in globally distributed projects
